Why should you wear a hat in cold
weather?

|
This coffee is hot. But in five
minutes it will be cold. The heat goes up
and the coffee gets cold.
|

|
But this cup of coffee is still
warm after five minutes! The heat stays
in.
|

|
You are the same. Your heat goes up
too. It goes out from your head. If you
don't wear a hat, you will get cold
faster. If you wear a hat, your body will
stay warm for a longer time.

CHEAP
CLOTHING
You can buy good second-hand clothing for very little
money. One person had the clothes before but now they don't
need them. A second person can buy them cheap. You buy the
clothes second-hand. You can buy second- hand clothing,
furniture, toys and other things at a flea market, or at a
yard sale at a house, or at a second-hand store.
In Boston, there are many Goodwill Bargain Basement
stores. They are also called Morgan Memorial stores or
Morgie's. They sell second-hand clothes, books, lamps,
shoes, toys, etc. There are other second-hand stores
too.
